Hollywood celebrities often make headlines for the unusual names they give their children, but what about their four-legged friends? Turns out some celebrities have gotten uber-creative when it comes to their canine and feline partners-in-crime. AccessHollywood.com counts down the top ten most unusual celebrity pet names.

10. Rachel Bilson
The young actress is an animal lover who named her mixed-breed pup Thurmen Murmen. “I’m obsessed with him. He’s my little dude,” the star told InStyle. She also has a Pit Bull Terrier she named Penny Lane.

9. Ben Stein
The well-known monotone actor has a shorthaired German pointer, which he named Brigitte Bar-Dog after the famed French model, Brigitte Bardot. Before Brigitte, Ben had another pointer, which he named Puppy Wuppy.

8. Adam Sandler
The comedian and “SNL” alum named his former English bulldog Matzoball (who sadly passed in 2006). When his previous bulldog, Meatball, died, Adam held a memorial service at his Malibu home for over 100 guests and served a cake featuring Meatball’s face, according to People.

The petite brunette star rescued a one-eyed dog named Wink. “I adopted her from the Lange Foundation that has the most amazing misfit dogs in the world,” she told AGirlsWorld.com. “(If) you want a three-legged dog with a wheel chair or a dog that has no bowel control, that’s the place to go.
