The Infidel Review
Reel Review: This movie was released on May 5th 2010. It was released by Tribeca Films. It is a comedy and the cast of members are all great. The producers and directors are hoping it goes over well at theaters. And, so far it has been doing well in the box offices too.
What’s Inside: It deals with a husband that truly loves his family and also being a somewhat relaxed Muslim. At times he might curse but no one is perfect. He is not the most observant however he pays attention to most of the things that go on around him. And yet, after the death of his mother he makes a discovery that spins his world upside down. He finds a birth certificate, it is his and he finds that he has been adopted. This was something he was not aware of and it hits him really hard. Now he is wondering who his real parents are and why they gave him up. He’s got a lot of questions. And to make things more complicated he is not Muslim, he is Jewish. At this point his world is spinning out of control and he still has to deal with his family but at this point does not let on about the information that he has found.
Wrapping It Up: Now he has gotten into a full who am I, identity crisis and it is starting to show. And yet, he still hasn’t said anything. He turns to his only friend a drunken Jewish cabbie, who agrees to give him a few crash lessons in being Jewish. He wants to follow the religion he was born with and would like to find his parents too. Not that it will be easy to do. He at least has to try.
