Gisele Bundchen: World’s Top (Paid) Model
Gisele Bundchen may have taken a little time off to have her first child – a baby boy named Benjamin – with Tom Brady, but it didn’t hurt her earning power. Forbes magazine once again named the Brazilian supermodel as their Top-Earning Model of the year for 2009.
According to the magazine, Gisele pulled in around $25 million in 2009 thanks to a number of designer clients including Dolce & Gabbana and her own brands which include a skincare line and a sandals brand.
“Project Runway” guru Heidi Klum came in second in the rankings, pulling in about $16 million. Heidi makes her money being an angel for Victoria’s Secret and being the face of several brands.
British model Kate Moss ranked third. Thanks to her many ads and her own line at Topshop, Kate pulled in a reported $9 million, Forbes reported.
Heidi’s Victoria’s Secret co-worker, Adriana Lima, took fourth. The blue-eyed babe earned $7.5 million over the year, while fifth went to athletic Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes, who took in $6 million.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Alessandra Ambrosio ($5.5 million), Natalie Vodianova ($5.5 million), Lancome beauty Daria Werbowy $4.5 million), Orlando Bloom’s lady love Miranda Kerry ($4 million) and finally, Carolyn Murphy ($3.5 million).
